When Jennifer Santana Called with an assignment to shoot the first wind resistant umbrella and create rain in my studio, I was a bit hesitant considering the size of the object. But then she said ” oh don’t worry, you can do it, it will be fine”.The unquestionable trust she had in my abilities sparked up the fire. There are many ways to create rain. First I had to remind myself about The Law of Communicating vessels and the Venturi effect. Counter intuitively to what the laws say, I attempted to create a complex system of hoses and sprinklers to create an environment of controlled rainfall. After many trials, it failed. What ended up working was the simplest of all, a hose and a modified sprinkler head. And it worked! The simplest solution was the best. And no water spilled.
